Youth Ministry

Youth Ministry

The Youth Ministry encourages and enables young people to seek God early in life, as many have deviated from the way of Christ in this generation.

"Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days are not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them; Ecclesiastes 12:1 (KJV)"

According to the wisdom of the wise, youth is the strength of every nation. When young people grow up from childhood with a solid foundation in God's knowledge, they develop a better understanding and maintain their focus. Youth often face various changes and challenges in understanding and controlling their minds and bodies effectively.

The purpose of the Youth Ministry is to equip young people for their future, vision, and purpose in life, so they can become the cornerstone for God and our nation. God's expectations for the youth are described in Psalms:

"That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace." - Psalm 144:12 (KJV)

God expects the youth in every nation to be like plants already grown and matured, and the young girls to be like sculptured corner pillars of a palace. He desires our sons and daughters to grow in their knowledge of Christ, His pattern Son, during their youthful years.

In God's divine plan, youthful years are not meant to be years of irresponsibility and delinquency, as is often seen in today's society. The noble responsibility of establishing God's Kingdom on earth is to be borne by youths who have been discipled and matured in mind and thinking (Lamentations 3:27-28).

Our Vision for Youth

  • Teach our youth in the way of the Lord: "For thou art my hope, O Lord God: thou art my trust from my youth." (Psalm 71:5, KJV).

  • Teach our youth the purpose of Christ to restore peace and be positive contributors to our nation.

  • Organise seminars and summits for youth and singles.

  • Teach them to respect God's word and law, honour their parents, and become epitomes of wisdom and knowledge: "For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments." (Psalm 78:5-7, KJV).

  • Guide the youth to follow the good examples of righteous leaders in our nation: (Judges 2:7-8, 10-11, 14).

By the special grace of God, the Lord will direct and guide us in the way we should go, and the Holy Spirit will be our teacher.
